Dr. Justin Byrd is the distinguished founder and physical therapist at Elevate Physical Therapy. In 2012, he graduated from The University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in athletic training, laying the foundation for his remarkable journey in the field of sports medicine. Prior to embarking on his physical therapy career, Justin worked as a Certified Athletic Trainer, gaining invaluable experience.
In 2016, Dr. Byrd achieved a significant milestone by earning his Doctoral degree in physical therapy from Alabama State University, further solidifying his commitment to providing the highest standard of care to his patients. With an impressive 11 years of experience in the rehabilitation field, he has established himself as a trusted authority, known for his dedication to patient well-being.
Dr. Byrd’s commitment to continuous improvement and advanced techniques is exemplified by his certification in dry needling and his specialization in manipulative therapy of the spine, both endorsed by the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy (AAMT). These credentials underline his unwavering dedication to offering innovative therapeutic approaches, enhancing patient outcomes.
Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Byrd is a devoted family man. He shares his life with his beloved wife, Kristie Byrd, and they are the proud parents of two wonderful children, Livy and Luke. In addition to his professional pursuits, Dr. Byrd generously dedicates his time and talent as a worship leader at the Church of the Highlands, where he passionately shares his gift for inspiring and uplifting others. Furthermore, he finds solace and renewal in the great outdoors, with a particular passion for turkey hunting.

Dr. Christian Bolden, DPT
Christian Bolden joined Elevate Physical Therapy after earning her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2024. She began her academic journey at Snead State Community College, earning her Associate’s Degree in 2019, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Shorter University in 2021.
A former collegiate women’s basketball player, Christian understands the value of discipline, perseverance, and recovery—qualities she now brings to her work as a physical therapist. She is passionate about helping athletes and individuals alike move better, feel stronger, and live healthier lives through evidence-based care and encouragement.
Outside the clinic, Christian enjoys leading Bible studies, coaching, staying active, and spending time with family and friends. She finds joy in uplifting others through faith, mentorship, and laughter
April Maples - Physical Therapy Assistant
With over 13 years of experience as a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant, April has treated patients across a broad spectrum of diagnoses. From acute injuries to chronic pain, she is passionate about helping individuals achieve their best possible function and quality of life.
April’s professional interests include the neuroscience of pain, core stability as it relates to balance, mobility, and pain management, and promoting active aging for lifelong wellness. She brings a compassionate and innovative approach to every patient’s journey to recovery.
Outside of the clinic, April enjoys exploring the great outdoors through hiking and camping and finds inspiration at live music events. She embraces life with a spirit of adventure and a commitment to growth.
Lindsey Rogers- Physical Therapy Assistant
Lindsey brings over 15 years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant to the Elevate Physical Therapy team. She has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including orthopedics, aquatic therapy, pediatrics, neurological rehabilitation, and acute care. Her passion lies in helping patients reach their goals and return to living their best lives.
A 2009 graduate of Wallace State, Lindsey is a proud Priceville Bulldog, as well as a devoted wife to Tyler and mom to Gracie, Carter, Everleigh, and Aliza. Outside the clinic, she enjoys spending time outdoors, cheering on her kids, and traveling with her family. Lindsey also has a deep love for the Lord and is a strong advocate for foster care and adoption.
Teresa Hall - Office Manager
Teresa Hall joins Elevate Physical Therapy as Office Manager, bringing over 35 years of experience in education. She and her husband, Dale, live in Somerville and are proud empty-nesters, recently celebrating the arrival of their first grandchild with a second on the way.
An avid gardener, baker, and cook, Teresa enjoys spending time with family and friends and is actively involved in her church community. Having personally experienced physical therapy for her shoulder, she understands the value of a skilled, supportive team and is dedicated to helping patients feel confident throughout their therapy journey.
Nichole Westbrooke - Office Staff
Nichole Westbrooke joined Elevate Physical Therapy in August 2025 as part of the office staff. A 2012 graduate of Priceville High School, Nichole developed a passion for physical therapy early on through her love of sports. Since beginning her career in the field in 2018, she has enjoyed helping create a welcoming and supportive environment for patients and staff alike.
Nichole and her husband, David, live in the Priceville area with their daughter and two dogs. She enjoys traveling, camping, and spending time with family. Grateful for the many blessings in her life, Nichole finds peace and joy each day through her faith in God.
